How the PTO has helped over the years

2024 - 2025 School Year

·     $1,065 for New Student Orientation Welcome - Ice Cream Truck

·     $866.21 Teacher Welcome Back to school lunch

·     $5,000 Awarded in Student Scholarships - to be awarded in May, 2025

2023 - 2024 School Year

·     $930 for New Student Orientation Welcome Pizza Lunch

·     $2,253 Principal request for a new laminator

·     $5,000 Awarded in Student Scholarships

·     $950 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests

·     $7,584 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

2022 - 2023 School Year

·     $902 for New Student Orientation Welcome with Snowie Truck

·     $4,500 Awarded in Student Scholarships

·     $4,700 Traffic safety grant

·     $3,177 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests

·     $9,944 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

2021 - 2022 School Year

·       $1,000 New Student Orientation Welcome with Cookies & Cream

·       $700 purchased 4 new picnic tables so there would be more outdoor seating for students to each their lunch

·       $3,900 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests, including $3,000 for new teacher lounge

·       $4,500 Awarded in Student Scholarships

·       $2,200 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

2020 - 2021 School Year (COVID YEAR)

·       $6,300 donated to the school to use at their discretion for things that they need.

·       $4,000 in Senior Scholarships

·       $2,700 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests

·       $9,100 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

2019-2020 School Year

·       $1,100 New Student Orientation Welcome lunch

·       $6,000 to the Battlefield High School Auditorium upgrades.  (Due to the Covid-19 pandemic these upgrades weren't able to be done until this school year (2022).

·       $3,000 in Senior Scholarships

·       $2,200 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests

·       $5,300 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

2018-2019 School Year

·       $15,000 to the school to use at their discretion for things that they need.

·       $3,000 in Senior Scholarships

·       $4,500 Donated to teachers Mini-Grant Requests

·       $8,800 Teacher/Staff Appreciation lunches, gifts & events for all throughout the year.

*The Battlefield High School Parent Teacher Organization (BHS PTO) is not a program or department of the Prince William County Public Schools, but an independent organization which has obtained the approval of PWCS to support its schools, students, teams, programs, and extracurricular activities. All funds raised by the BHSPTO must be used for approved school purposes.
